Thomas A. Heller
Tom retired from the practice of law in October 2016. We wish him all the best in his retirement!
Tom was a partner and co-founder of Heller Wiegenstein PLLC. A native of Michigan, Tom worked his way through law school at night at Wayne State University while working days as law clerk to the Honorable Hilda Gage, an Oakland County, Michigan Circuit Court judge. For the first year after becoming a member of the Michigan bar, Tom served as a law clerk to the Honorable Dorothy Comstock Riley of the Michigan Court of Appeals.
Tom was in private practice in Michigan from 1981-1985, and then at the Seattle law firm Keller Rohrback LLP from 1985-1996. From 1997 until his retirement at the end of 2016, Tom’s practice at Heller Wiegenstein PLLC continued to focus on insurance defense matters.
Tom and his wife Patty are now enjoying a new and well deserved chapter in life, exploring the culture and history surrounding their new home in Maribor, Slovenia.
